一是天马广场。该项目是养马岛旅游度假区总体规划中唯一的大型广场，位于养马岛的入岛口，南边直接与养马岛跨海大桥相连接，总面积72000平方米，广场东西长近400米，由清华大学博士生导师、中国环境艺术专家张绮曼教授设计完成，总投资3200万元，主要是以宣扬中华民族源远流长的传统文化和弘扬生生不息的民族精神为主题，包括天马苑、秦皇苑等六大景区和马文化长廊、音乐喷泉等八大主要景观。其中天马雕塑高近30米，整个雕塑气势恢弘，取意“天马行空”，是养马岛的标志性雕塑。位于秦皇苑内的秦皇铜像身高5.5米,耗铜8.8吨,生动再现了秦始皇君临天下的威仪。周边环绕“浮雕墙”,图文并茂地展现了秦王赢政一统天下的功过是非。红柱广场则是按照二十八星宿六位排列,它以统一的体制为全天的星宿命名,是中华民族的精髓所在;马文化长廊为国内首创,它记载着秦人由养马而立国的历史以及秦始皇最爱的追月、白兔等七匹名马的风采。当夜晚降临时，广场的照明系统将全部打开，各类地埋灯、探照灯既独自成景，又相映成辉，辅之以大型音乐喷泉、水景墙及优雅动听的音乐，更有一番天上人间的氛围。自2004年5月开始对外营业，已接待海内外游客40多万人次，成为养马岛经济跨越发展的助推起器。

　　 四是秦皇体育娱乐中心。养马岛秦皇体育娱乐中心系新牟国际集团公司南方工业总公司与烟台市牟平区政府联合成立的股份制企业，该中心主要以赛马表演、技巧表演为主要服务项目。同时中心还配有停车场地、酒店、旅游商品和摄影服务等项目，为游客进行一条龙服务。现有员工70人、赛马70匹、骑手30人、导游员2人。总面积19万平方米，建筑面积1.25万平方米。场地中心有标准的足球场和400米标准赛道，拥有长900米，宽12米的训练沙道一条，建有容纳万名观众的看台和3000平方米、设施齐备的二层观众大厅，供贵宾们观赛和休息。场地中心有标准的足球场。赛马场建成后，先后举办过全国马术赛、六运会马术比赛、少年足球赛等11次有影响的大型体育比赛，并被列为国家女子足球训练基地。该中心1995年起开始举办现代赛马旅游娱乐服务，在骑师队伍的培养、电脑计算管理系统完善、资料档案的建立及马匹的调教训练、饲养管理、医疗保健等方面均一步到位走向科学化和规范化。每周六、日举行赛马表演，每周一至周五全天举行马术技巧表演。自开展赛马以来，年接待来宾5万余人次，年收入80万元。
